BNP Paribas: Supporting Future Finserv Innovation

BNP Paribas Personal Finance has Renewed a Game-Changing Partnership Aimed at Addressing Data-Led Challenges Across the Financial Services Sector

BNP Paribas is a company constantly on the lookout for opportunities to support and invest in innovation.

Now, BNP Paribas Personal Finance, a major player in retail financing in Europe through consumer credit activities, has renewed a game-changing partnership aimed at addressing data-led challenges across the financial services sector.

The subsidiary business is joining forces with SuperTech, in collaboration with STEAMhouse as delivery partner, to once again unveil the Innovation Lab, an incubator programme dedicated to discovering digital solutions from a range of sectors that can be applied to challenges within financial services.

“Last year was incredible for accelerating innovation at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK, so we’re excited to be continuing our partnership with SuperTech and joining forces with STEAMhouse,” comments Stephen Hunt, CEO at BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK.

“For us to remain a leader in personal finance, it’s important we open our minds and embrace new ideas to help us deliver better products, services and solutions for our customers and partners which is what this partnership is all about.

“I look forward to working with digital tech companies to explore various ways we can address data-led challenges in the financial services sector.”

Looking beyond traditional fintechs

In what is a rapidly-evolving fintech landscape, delivering various financial services across the UK, not all the best innovation starts from traditional fintech businesses or applications.

This year’s Innovation Lab is focused on harnessing external data and insights to enhance engagement with financial services customers, fostering mutual value and trust for the customer, BNP Paribas Personal Finance and any third-party data providers involved.

SMEs with a digital tech solution to this challenge – irrespective of their current market – are being sought, and must be willing to be present in Birmingham, West Midlands, for key touchpoints in the programme.

Successful applicants stand to benefit from the opportunity to collaborate with BNP Paribas Personal Finance in cultivating a culture of open innovation and co-creation, culminating in a chance to showcase products and services to executives within the organisation as part of BNP Paribas Innovation Week in May.

Hilary-Smyth-Allen, Executive Lead at SuperTech

"This year, we invite SMEs with digital tech solutions from various sectors to participate in the incubator, aimed at transforming customer engagement through data insights,” adds Hilary-Smyth-Allen, Executive Lead at SuperTech.

“Successful applicants will not only gain incredible insights from a global financial services brand, but also benefit from valuable support and mentorship opportunities.”
