Oliver Wyman’s Timofeeva on promoting women in fintech

FinTech Magazine speaks to Alina Timofeeva, Associate Partner at Oliver Wyman at Money 20/20 Europe in 2023. 

In this interview, Timofeeva expresses her pride in being a speaker during the event, shining a light on the growing role women have in senior positions in the fintech industry.

But it goes further than this for Timofeeva, it is the variety at Money20/20 overall, whether it be the diversity among companies or innovative solutions proposed, that points towards a future financial industry in which inclusion and innovate are becoming “empowered”. 

She also expands on the current pain points in cross-border payments, which can be slow, expensive, and not transparent enough. However, Timofeeva feels with the current technologies that are in place with scope to grow, such as cloud technology, these pain points will soon be a thing of the past.
